All the designs in this revised edition of the Pepin Press bestseller, ARABIAN GEOMETRIC PATTERNS, were originally recorded by Jules Bourgoin in the 1870s. The original designs were found in Egypt, Persia (now Iran), and Syria. They have been meticulously re-drawn and digitized for this publication, with special attention paid to the underlying mathematical structures used to create the designs. The designs are interlocking, so it is possible to create larger patterns by repeating the components.
