Edgar Rice Burroughs was an American writer of many tyoes of genre but best known for his creations of the jungle hero Tarzan and the heroic Mars adventurer John Carter. At the Earth's Core is the first book, in a series about the adventurer David Innes in the "hollow earth" world of Pellucidar.
