Backstabbing Hurts

Each one of us carries our own disillusions and past experiences of misplaced loyalty and deceit. In this collection, the poet reflects on moments of betrayal and disappointment, loss of trust and recovery of self. As she leaves the negative experiences in the past, she focuses on her personal moments of survival, while she offers her interpretation of overcoming adversity and thriving despite the obstacles. Backstabbing hurts, indeed, but it doesn’t have to be fatal.
