Dr. Brigitte Kroon is the Program coordinator of the Bachelor program HRS: People Management at the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Tilburg University.Her research concentrates on understanding human resource management in less standard contexts, such as small entrepreneurial (family) businesses and low skilled work. She combines a business- with an ethical perspective in studying people in workplaces. As a lecturer, she has developed an introduction course to human resource management that appeals to students in business programs and in human resource management.The leit motiv in her teaching, research and consulting with organizations is a strong believe that all organizations and the individuals involved in them can benefit more from human resource management, if more time is spend on understanding the causes of people-related issues in their specific contexts, in combination with a better understanding of available research evidence
