#expatsofbrussels is a collection of people and stories. Brussels is surprising, vibrant, raw and just a little different. All ways lead to Brussels, and although no one ever dreamed of starting a life here, most people that ended up in Brussels by accident seem to love it. They all have different stories, backgrounds, ages and nationalities - but together, they make up the fabric of the beautiful capital of Europe.

Anne Cruyt (°1990) is the founder of Living in Brussels. Her whole career, she has worked with international students, employees and expats and she loves connecting with people. Although originally from West Flanders, she moved to Brussels years ago and is not planning to ever leave the city again.

Cemali Bas (°1997) is a full time photographer. He was born and raised in Brussels by two expat parents and loves to visualize the beauty of his city through his lens. He started photographing during his studies and photography quickly became his true calling in life.

#expatsofbrussels tells the story of 50 expats living in Brussels. They all come from different countries, work in different fields and are living in the capital of Europe for a short while - or have decided to stay indefinitely. This coffee table book includes portraits as well as beautiful photos of the city.
