But when we try to fathom what love and infatuation are at their core, we often fall silent. The ancient, wise Greeks described infatuation as a temporary form of madness, and when you awoke from this semi-comatose state, you saw things much more clearly again. Philosophers hardly dared to approach this phenomenon. Nevertheless, Frank decided to give it a try, partly on the basis of historical lovers.
