During a warm summer, as Mario Wezel’s (DE) family weaned their younger son, he installed a thermal camera above the family bed. Over five nights, it recorded the quiet routines of waking, feeding, carrying and comforting. The resulting thermal images transform the bed into an interstellar landscape where mother, father and child move around one another, connected by care. By placing himself within these scenes, he presents fatherhood as an ongoing practice of presence, connection and shared responsibility. Emerging from the darkness, printed in silver ink on black paper, the glowing bodies trace the fragile and continuous movements of care.
