In 2015 Beam Suntory, owner of Laphroaig Distillery, commissioned a commemmorative book to Hans & Becky Offringa,
aka The Whisky Couple, to celebrate the bicentenary of Laphroaig.
They hired Mr Marcel van Gils (aka laphroaigcollector) as a contributing editor. He also contributed with new photography.
The book describes the history of one of the most iconic distilleries in Scotland, and lets the people at the distillery reflect on it, as well as the many
Friends of Laphroaig worldwide. This book is considered a landmark in historic writing about distilleries and received
many excellent reviews from around the globe. The author decided to make available a limited amount of signed copies from his own stock.
