Lazaretto volontario is an art residency and research project where isolation and co-creation are central. It is the collaborative research of Lieve Kauwenberghs, Milan Gillard and Annelies Clerix about the co-creation of 8 artists coming from different disciplines. The creation process takes place in an isolated space, more specifically in the mother’s house of Milan Gillard situated in Sint-Truiden. We started this project with 3 finalities in mind. First, the co-creation work, this publication written about the week and lastly the residency in itself.
