The notion of living abroad one day is a dream for many. Accomplishing that dream is a different matter. 'Life with a View' tells the story of how a favourite holiday destination became home and is a lively, warm and intimate account of moving from the UK to Northern Portugal. From buying an apartment in the charming city of Porto, to renovating a wreck in rural Portugal several years later, this personal memoir captures the journey of one couple and their cat as they navigate their way through the trials and tribulations, mishaps and joys of such an adventure. From joining the town band and taking part in the local festas, to getting to know the neighbours and rescuing an unwanted street cat, this anecdotal treat offers a glimpse into moving abroad and attempting to live like a local. As the Portuguese say, é complicado!
