As I reach the top of the stairs I stand before a familiar hallway, but something isn't right. There is supposed to be a door to the balcony at the end, where this hallway stretches into infinity. I realize I am dreaming. As I watch the endless darkness, an eerie feeling creeps up on me. Danger lurks. I squint my eyes shut and tighten my fists. Wake up... wake up...I slowly open my eyes again. I'm lying on my left side and can see my white kitchen cabinets appear. Instead of plain wood however, they are beautifully decorated. I'm still dreaming.I turn on my back, and suddenly someone is sitting on my chest. I see blue eyes. They look right into mine, but behind them is nothing. They look deeply tormented, and furious. All of a sudden, the person starts screaming at the top of their lungs, then raises their fist high in the air. It's moving towards my face fast and I'm paralyzed with fear, I cannot defend myself. When I get hit, I jolt awake.My eyes are wide open and I'm breathing fast. The person who overpowered me in my dream was I myself. An old me, from a dark past. A frightening time that hunts me in my dreams. Tonight, it had caught up with me, and captured me ---
