Every subject he depicted on canvas or paper at this time also appeared on his pottery. but with added intensity: in the very shape of the vase he saw a female form, in the plate a face and in the serving dish a sun-drenched arena. This book shows how Picasso's talents as a graphic artist. a painter and a sculptor all converge in his ceramic pieces. The illusion of depth on the two-dimensional surface dissolves in the three-dimensionality of the material.
