This book is about the influence of older people who live in residential care homes on collective issues that affect their life in the institutional context. It explores how this influence takes place and how it can be developed in a participative way that is valuable to all who live and work in residential care homes.

About the author:
Vivianne Baur (1983) is researcher at the Department of Medical Humanities, VU Medical Centre in Amsterdam. She has a master's degree in Arts and Culture and was awarded a PhD degree for her research on the participation of older people in residential care homes. She is involved in several participatory action research projects on client participation in care organisations and community.
