Edgar, Mara, Syren and Kali are The Nightmare Kids, a group of young adults who battle Nightmares driven by phobias. While the rest of the city is struggling to stay awake, they dive right into their dreams to defeat them from within.

The lives of a group of young orphans are suddenly disrupted as they are summoned to report to their new director. It turns out the city has been struck by an epidemic of phobia-induced nightmares. Before they can wrap their heads around this sudden development, they learn that their orphanage has been transformed into an asylum for the victims of these nightmares. With the threat of losing both their way of life and their home, they find themselves in a tough spot. They’ll just have to agree with the director’s ludicrous idea to try and combat these nightmares themselves. After all, what do they have to lose?
