Our attention is particularly drawn to the back and underside. By now, our digital archive consists of thousands of known and unknown monograms. And yet, new monograms are still added every week. We are aware that our digital collection will never be completely exhaustive.After 12 years, we are now presenting an interim report through this book. Especially through many new and fascinating contacts with painters and their heirs, we have been able to decipher a number of unknown monograms and link them to a painter.
