Jean 'Toots' Thielemans turns 90 on 29 April 2012. Toots is still performing all over
the world, has received countless international awards and has worked with the greatest musicians on the planet.
2012 is therefore being hailed as Toots year: a book, nine exclusive birthday concerts in Belgium and a major exhibition in Brussels.
The book, produced in collaboration with Toots Management and therefore authorised, contains a biographical section and a series of exceptional testimonials from superstars such as Quincy Jones, Joe Lovano, Pat Metheny, Paul Simon and Billy Joel and local heroes such as Jean Blaute and Philippe Catherine.
Lots of brilliant concert photos and pictures from Toots's private archive (personal photos, letters, set lists, scores, etc.) make the book unique.
