In the first stage of this research project, three working periods were involved. During the first period (2004) the aspect of theoeuvre concerning content (mental and environmental pollution) was completed and deepened. In the second period (2005)the Mind Sculptures originated. The third period (2007) aimed at the realisation of two Mind Sculptures as main building.This notion contained the basic principle of the film ‘Touching the Earth and the Sky’, which was created at the FLACC.In addition, Ronny Delrue’s doctoral project, ‘The Controlled Uncontrollability in the Process of Drawing’, influenced theproject. The drawings illustrate the registration of the mind. They are a kind of breeding ground, out of which new imagesoriginate. Moreover, they witness the ‘non-genesis’: for some reason the piece of art is not realised or is destroyed.
