Penelope Mayer goes to visit with her parents and grandparents one weekend. On the way back home one Saturday evening live takes a dramatic turn. Her family falls apart and she is no longer able to understand her mother tongue. She'll have to find her way in life with the lemon she's dealt. No longer able to attend the school she's been attending. Luckily she finds help along her way, and she even meets her soulmate despite her accident.
