Academic Writing for Students of English

The process of academic writing can become accessible and as exciting as doing research with the help of Scribende. Methodologically the Online Scribende consists of four components: (1) an online diagnostic test determining individual writing profiles and individualised learning tracks; (2) an awareness-raising component covering aspects of academic writing; (3) a practising module which is predominantly skills-based; and (4) communal writing tasks offered on the university's learning platform.
The present edition is a printed version of the awareness-raising component, which is Scribende's theoretical module. This is not a grammatical compendium nor a reference work. Scribende is selective and eclectic and works as an interactive remedial tool showing you the way to an improved academic writing. Both the interactive theoretical and practising module are accessible through the enclosed CD-ROM.
