What do we teach our children? Report on educational video content on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict This report is based on analyses of 45 children’s news programmes and 35 educational videos from School TV, NOS Stories, NOS op 3, NOS Jeugdjournaal and NPO Kennis. The two lead authors are José Hak and Maaike van Charante. They conclude that supervision and quality control in this area are virtually non-existent, and that the quality of this content is well below standard. There is a fierce public debate going on about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and it is precisely here that good information is of great importance, especially for young people.
